The Sanitas Barreiro Hospital has an average of 7,000 outpatient and emergency consultations per month. As of July 14, the new outpatient unit will be opened seeks to improve the infrastructure in order to provide these services.

The new unit, which was designed to provide quality care and greater comfort to our users, boasts 8 offices, 1 health promotion area, 1 minor procedures room, 1 exam room for graphical methods as well as gynecological and laboratory testing stations.

The unit's users will have more appointment slots for general medical care, without prior scheduling, along with more availability for other specialties' care. The outpatient unit offers a suitable environment for the care of pathologies, without any medical attention from other hospital areas.

The following 13 medical specialties are available: angiology, cardiology, cardiovascular/ pacemaker surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, thoracic surgery, general medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, proctology, and urology.

The new unit offers a comprehensive range of services in a single place while providing our customers with more welfare and an integrated health care service.

Moreover, the structure includes a designated area for users' health promotion and prevention, which also tends to the demands of health management programs with the collaboration of Vitallis Sanitas as an operator. Thus, providing tremendous solace and ease for users, who already participate in the programs, located mainly in the region of Barreiro and its surrounding areas.

From July 18th until July 22nd of 2016, the Hospital's and Group's staff, along with partners and suppliers, were invited to see the unit and greeted their first users with a very special coffee break.
